25 Days Left!

It's been a couple of weeks, so I thought I would write a quick update. Alton is keeping busy with work, classes, and the wire business. I just started teaching an online class over the weekend. It seems to be working out well. It definitely is a perfect job for me.

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our baby. Only 25 days left until her due date. It is getting closer. We have the crib all set up and we bought a carseat over the weekend. So, I guess we are all ready. :)

To keep myself busy the last few days, I have been working on some scrapbook pages. So, here are a couple I did this week.

Red Butte Gardens

On Labor Day we went to Red Butte Gardens. It was fun to walk around and see all of the different plants and flowers. It is a really neat place. It seems to be a fun place to take kids. We also think that it will be fun to go there this fall when the leaves are changing colors. (I was 33 weeks pregnant at the time.)

More Scrapbooking

I think that signing up for the online group has really helped to motivate me to work on my scrapbook pages. It really has been a lot of fun. I have scrapped 6 more pages this week! Plus I have found some really cool sites where I can get free stuff for my pages.

I participated in two more speed scraps this week....but I'm only going to post one of those layouts. The other one just isn't good enough to post. It needs some work.

I also did a ScrapLift page; which means I copied somebody else's layout and added my own papers and elements.

Digital Scrapbooking

I just joined a digital scrapbooking group on the internet. It is a ton of fun. They have weekly challenges and speed scraps (where participants have two hours to complete a page with specific directions). Here are the three pages that I made the last couple of days.

This page is for a Template Challenge.

This is was for my first speed scrap:

This one was using a color palette generator. I uploaded a picture, and was given a palette of colors that would blend with that picture. I then recolored all of the papers and embellishments that I used to match the color palette. It was a really fun project.
