30 Days of Gratitude

For the month of November, we have decided we are going to post one thing we are grateful for each day. They will not be in a particular order. We truly are blessed and are grateful for all that we have.

Halloween

On Halloween we went to our Bishop's house for donuts and root beer. It was a lot of fun. Then we went to a couple of spook alleys in the neighborhood close to our apartment. We were really impressed with the Fuller's. They did an awesome job! Adysen even went trick-or-treating to a couple of houses. She enjoyed picking out candy and holding it. We loved Adysen's adorable fairy costume. We bought the bow and tutu from Peekaboo Bowtique. Alton made the adorable wand.

On Wednesday we went to the family Halloween carnival on campus. Adysen loved the pencils that they gave her. She also enjoyed putting candy in her bag. We also went to the ward Halloween party. It was fun to see everyone dressed up. We wished we would have had costumes too. Maybe next year!

Snow

Yesterday it was snowing. When we first woke up, Adysen crawled over to the window and watched the snow for a few minutes. Then she started playing with her toys. Later in the morning, I was doing something on the computer and I could hear Adysen talking a lot. I turned around she was at the window again and the snow was really coming down with huge flakes. It is so exciting to watch Adysen become more aware of the world around her. She is learning so much every day.

Fall Fun

Tonight we took some pictures of Adysen right outside our apartment. She had a lot of fun investigating the leaves. She loved riding in the wagon we found in the playground. Here are a few of our favorite photos.

This is Adysen's new "thinking" expression. I love it when she puckers her lips up. So cute!

This is the wreath I made at Relief Society craft night.

Wheeler Historic Farm

Last night for Family Night we went to Wheeler Historic Farm in Murray. It was really neat! Adysen loved it! She really enjoyed watching the ducks and geese. We will definitely be going back!!

Dressing Up

Adysen loves to get into her drawers and pull out all of her dresses. She even tries to put them on. :)

Adysen's First Birthday

It is hard to believe that our little girl is now a year old. She has grown up so fast. We celebrated her birthday on Sunday with BreAna's family. They came down from Idaho to visit us. Adysen also unwrapped a few of her presents while we were talking to the Alexanders on Skype. It was sure nice to be able to share Adysen's birthday with our families.

I made Adysen's cake. I even made the fondant from scratch. It was a very messy, sticky job, but it tasted good. For the recipe click here. Alton helped assemble the cake and Anessa helped me roll out the fondant. It was fun. Adysen liked pulling the flowers off of her cake and then she tried to put them back on. :)

We also were able to meet Uncle Eric. We are excited to have him as part of our family. (Calene is getting married November 21st).

Aren't you a little young?

I am truly amazed at Adysen's love for technology! Especially cell phones!! I can see it already. "Not now Mommy, I'm busy talking to my friends.....Just let me send this one more text message." If you ever get a call from us and there is no one on the line, or if you just hear a bunch of baby babbling, Adysen was just calling to say "Hi."

Hogle Zoo

Adysen and I went to the Zoo with one of my friends and her kids. We enjoyed looking at the animals. There were lots of baby animals at the zoo. Adysen seemed to notice more of the animals this time than she did earlier this summer when we went.
