Easter Weekend

Anessa's Birthday was on Easter this year. It was fun to spend time with our family and celebrate Anessa's Birthday with her.

6 Months Already!!

We can hardly believe that Adysen is 6 months old! Monday she had her 6 month checkup. She is now 14 pounds 4.5 ounces and 26 1/2 inches long. She is starting to sit up, but she still needs a lot of help and pillow close by. She is also good and rotating herself around when she is on her belly. She turns herself around in circles and plays with everything around her. She loves to play with books and papers. It looks like she will be a great reader when she grows up.

Adysen has also been enjoying new foods the last few days she has now eaten rice cereal, barley cereal, carrots, and bananas. It is amazing how well the carrots showed up in the picture. I didn't think she looked that messy when I was feeding her.

Our Little Garden

Our apartment complex has cute little garden plots available for us to use to plant our own garden. They were supposed to distribute the plots last Saturday, but they had to postpone because of the snow. After Mom Alexander showed us her little garden on Sunday, we decided to follow her example and get a head start by planting our seeds in egg cartons. It has been fun to move them into the sun each day. We can't wait until we can see them grow!

Hiking Trip

We took Adysen on her first hiking trip on Saturday. She was so happy and content. She enjoyed looking around and seeing the world. She also was able to take a nice little nap. We went a couple of miles on a nice trail in Milcreek Canyon. We are looking forward to our next hiking adventure.

How did you get over there?

On Friday, I put Adysen in her "jungle" while I was getting ready for the day. Although I could see her from where I was standing, every time I looked at her she was in a different position. First she rolled over (she is getting really good at that now). Then once she was on her stomach she scooted herself backwards. I never was able to catch her in action. I kept asking, "How did you get over there?" I can only imagine how it is going to be when she can roll herself onto her back and when she learns how to crawl!

Some days I think about cutting the tags off of Adysen's toys, but then I realize how much she enjoys playing with them. Who needs toys?

End of February

Adysen loves playing and rolling onto her belly. She is such a happy girl!

Who is this baby? I think I found a new friend!

Rolling Over

On Tuesday, Adysen rolled from her back to her stomach all by herself. Over the past two days she has mastered this new skill. Now, everytime I lay her on her back to play she rolls herself over. What a cutie!

First Bites

Today Adysen had her first bites - rice cereal. Num Yummy!

Valentine's Weekend

Adysen has discovered that she can grab her toes. They are her new favorite toy!

On Valentine's Day, Alton surprised me with delicious heart-shaped pancakes & homemade orange juice for breakfast. Yummy! He is also becoming an expert bread maker. We have been enjoying homemade bread for the last couple of months.
