Guess What?!?!

I guess it has been a while since we have posted. A lot has happened since March!

Our most exciting news is...

That is right! We are adding a new little one to our family! We are expecting a baby boy around March 21, 2013.

There has been a lot of other fun things that have happened as well this year:
  • We sold our house in Salt Lake! We are now renting a little place in Alpine, UT. It is super close to Alton's work.
  • We had lots of fun with family reunions and vacations this summer! We went to Washington, then camping and fishing in Idaho with my family, and had an Alexander reunion on the other side of Idaho. All while we were in the process of moving. :)
  • We took a couple months to relax (or something like that). Alton did a lot of housework while I relaxed and survived the first trimester (and then some) of this pregnancy . :)
  • Alton and I just arrived home from a fabulous 7 night cruise to Mexico! It was fantastic! While we are excited to be home with the kids, we wouldn't mind enjoying some sun, all you can eat food, and house keeping again. :) We visited Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo, and Puerto Vallerta.
  • Adysen and Kaitlynn had a fun time staying in Idaho with their grandparents and aunts while we were away.
We are now gearing up for the busiest time of year! We are still running our wire business, here are the links in case you are wondering what we are talking about: www.WireHomeDecor.com, www.WireCardHolders.com, and www.HolidayCardHolders.com

Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving! We are so grateful for our wonderful family and friends!

Alexander Family Update

Has it really been this long since I posted? Yikes! I'm rather embarrassed and I have no real excuses. So, I will give you a quick update of our family with a promise that I will be better at sharing our lives on the internet more frequently. I came across these pictures this morning from February.

Alton is enjoying working at IM Flash Technologies. In January Alton and I went to Washington DC on a business trip for his work. We loved it! I'll have to share a few photos of our trip later. I love being a stay-at-home mom. We are also still running our wire business. In my free time I still enjoy baking and I recently started running at 5:30 in the morning...and somewhat surprisingly I love it! Between work, church, and our side businesses we keep rather busy, but we are excited for spring and spending more time outside!

Adysen and Kaitlynn are growing way fast! They are "best friends" and love playing together. They are so much fun to watch! Kaitlynn tries to do everything that Adysen does. They love to color, read, play pretend, and sing.

Maybe, just maybe I'll have another post for you soon. We will see.

Cute Kids

I know it has been a while. But here are a few pictures of my cute kids from Sunday:

Adysen has a thing about smiling for a picture. She likes to give us her frowniest faces and then check out the picture on the camera.

Look at this big girl!! Kaitlynn is 13 months old now. She is even taking a few steps on her own. She is so cute! She also has 5 little teeth.

So Far Behind

I am so far behind on the family blog that I don't even know where to start. Honestly, I just wish we were still on vacation. We had so much fun in Sacramento with the Alexanders a couple of weeks ago. I'll have to tell you all about it later. :)

Just Kidding

I decided to change the name of my blog. It will now be Sugar and Spiced and All Things Iced: http://www.sugarandspiceandallthingsiced.com/. I am so excited for my new name!

I also have a new Facebook page set up: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sugar-and-Spice-and-All-Things-Iced/170138049713180. I have twitter and RSS feeds available. I am still trying to figure out the twitter thing and I can't believe I just discovered RSS feeds -- how did I not know about them before!! Check my blog for those links.

Thanks for all of your support! If you happened to bookmark my previous site or like my previous Facebook page, feel free to update to the current links! This will be the last change.

I will get back to posting regular (and by regular, I mean weekly not every other month!) pictures of my family in a few days.

Mother's Day

I feel so blessed to be a mother and to have two amazing daughters. They are wonderful! I love watching them learn and grow. They are so much fun! I am also blessed with an amazing husband. Alton is an amazing father!

We love and appreciate our Mothers and Grandmothers and all they have done for us and continue to do for us.

Happy Mother's Day!

Easter

Here are a few pictures from Easter this year. We are truly grateful for our Savior and His life, example, and Atonement. Hope you enjoy!

Adysen crawled under the chair to reach the egg on the other side of the table leg.

Adysen blew on the top and bottom of every egg before opening it. For good luck??

Yummy cookies...I kind of have a new hobby:

By the time we get home from Church at 4, the girls are not very interested in having their picture taken. I guess we need to start taking pictures before Church. But that would require getting ready early. :)

A Trip to the Park

Yesterday we went on a little walk. We ended up playing in the park. Both girls had lots of fun!
